Night speaks to Cooper

Cooper WAS sleeping through the night regularly and we naively thought it was miller time. We had a little night time routine down and were once again enjoying a night's sleep. Our sleeping through the night ended as quickly as the Patriots chances of reaching another Superbowl. Cooper is turning into a real night owl. He enjoys waking up just to make sure we haven't fallen into too deep a sleep, frequent late night snacks, and if we are really lucky he wants to play at 4 AM.

Besides his sleep regressions he's growing and doing many new things everyday. He's now smiling, laughing, and grabbing at his toys all the time. His newest tricks are pushing himself up when he's lying on his belly, rolling over, and talking. He loves hearing himself speak. When he gets going he just talks and talks. It's not quiet either. On more than one occasion I've had to tell him that is rude to talk so loudly when grown ups are trying talk on the phone.

Snowblog

First snow day of the year! Cooper does not know what to make of the outside world. He was getting so used to it and now all of the sudden everything is so white. When he woke up he just stared out the window with wide eyes. I think he was thinking to himself that something was different, but he just couldn't place it. We took him for a nice walk today and he was awake for lots of it. He was just looking around and enjoying the quiet city.

Cooper is getting so big. He holds up his own head and can even push himself up when he's lying on his belly. He's now sleeping through the night regularly. He is still waking up for a minute or two to find his pacifier but other than that he's been sleeping consistently straight through from 10ish to 5 30 in the morning. Sleep is really a different world. Now that he's sleeping through the night he is awake and very alert during the day. He has begun to play with some of his toys and we've even heard him laughing at them.

We found out that Cooper loves to swim. We took him up to Portland, ME last weekend and he loved the hotel pool. Grammy, I bet Cooper would be psyched if you put in a pool. Can you say no to him?
