Happy Fall from Hot Tub

Cooper's first few steps led to a more refined crawling.  He went from the army style crawl a more baby like crawl on his hands and knees.  And now he's officially a walker.  Cooper's still working on his balance but is walking all over the place.  We feel like he went from a couple of steps to tearing up the house over night.  He loves walking so much he wants to stand up every where he goes.  He stands in the car seat when we are trying to get him in.  Wriggles his way to a standing position in the grocery cart, and now has to stand in the bathtub.  He loves his new found ability.

Cooper has a new nickname..Hot Tub.  Cooper goes to day care with a little boy that is about 3.  He and Cooper love to play and are good buddies.  Despite  the comments that little Oden has made about being too loud they are apparently inseparable when they are at school at the same time.  Anyway, the lady that runs the place calls all the kids (only 3 kids in the school and Cooper's the only full timer) hot stuff.  Cooper's little friend Oden asked what hot stuff meant.  She told him and then he turned around and said "Hey - Hot Tub come here"! Since then he has continued to refer to Cooper has Hot Tub.  We have a number of nicknames for Cooper but Hot Tub is definitely the best.  That is the kind of nickname you can take with you to college.  Look down at the first picture.  That's the picture of a college Hot Tub in 18yrs.  Drink till my finger goes down Hot Tub, says his college roommate.

Cooper made the most of the first fall weekend.  He played with his wagon that his Grammy gave to him for his birthday.  The wagon is sweet and a labor of love.  It came in many pieces and I impaled myself while putting it together.  Lesson I learned is do not have nails, screws, screw drivers, and a hammer strewn all over the floor when you are barefoot.  Despite the possible tetanus I may now have I pushed through and assembled the All Terrain Wagon for my little guy.  Today, Sunday was so nice we enjoyed one more beach day.  Cooper loved that he could walk on his down to the water and took off as soon as we took him out of the backpack.  We all enjoyed one more day of swimming.  We had plans to go to the Cumberland County Fair today which apparently his a huge deal around here.  I was looking forward to the lawn mower races and greasy pig scramble.  As a spectator of course but we opted for swimming since it was so nice.  We will visit the fair next weekend.  Watch for a detailed report on the lawn mower races.

How do you know you do not live in the city anymore?.. When people race lawn mowers and hundreds of other people show up to watch.

Enjoy all the photos.  The album is huge because I haven't had time to post in quite a while.
