Blogging isn't easy with a 17 month old and a terribly slow connection. Not sure if this is true everywhere but Time Warner in Maine is abismal. At best, our connection is a step above dial up.
Cooper is truly a big boy. He is all boy. Loves his matchbox cars, trucks, trains, and anything with wheels. His personality has definitely developed and he has a real flare for mischief. He and I find many of the same things funny. A couple of his favorite activities include climbing and standing on the coffee table, throwing things over the baby gate and down the stairs, and pulling things off of tables that he knows will make loud crashing sounds.
Still no real words but he says things Aimee and I can recognize. Or at least we think we can.
Words recognizable to only Aimee and I: tractor, eat, lawnmower, milk, ice, more, bye, whoa, bath, yeah, ei,ei,o, wow, and daddy. Aimee thinks he tries to say mommy but it really just sounds like his words for milk and more.
Cooper has his baby sign language down. He's exceptionally smart. Over the past 3-4 months he has become quite the communicator. He signs more, eat, and no more. No is always a head shake followed by a thrown object. He has created his own sign for what happened?. His use of the what happened? sign is funny. Sometimes it is used accurately when he is trying to figure out how something works or where we are going. However, he usually uses his what happened? following some sort of mischief when he knows damn well what just happened.
